From twenty years old to over sixty, Shiatsu students come from all backgrounds and bring an array of life-experiences. They share a common interest in expanding their practical and theoretical knowledge of natural therapies, and they are interested in promoting personal and collective health. Whether you envisage practicing Shiatsu professionally in the future, or simply wish to help yourself, friends and family to greater happiness and wellness, the diploma programme will enable you to access your talent.
The Metta Shiatsu diploma programme is unique.
The foundation year of the diploma is situated in Nelson, New Zealand, commencing in March each year. Over the following months, the class gathers for ten challenging and rewarding weekends, 10am-5pm each day, (non-residential), of Metta Shiatsu establishing the basic framework of the diploma course. In between weekends participants are expected to extend their knowledge through case studies, practice, theoretical homework and explorations.
During the second and third years, the class meets every two months at a stunning secluded location, for four-day residential retreats.
The retreats allow for more intensive learning, understanding and insight, within the dynamics of supportive group environment. Students look forward to these special opportunities to take space from busy lives.
